Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَسُرَيْجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَيْدٍ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى عَلَى عَبْدِ الرّ
َحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ أَثَرَ صُفْرَةٍ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا قَالَ إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً عَلَى وَزْنِ نَوَاةٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ

English Translation
Yunus and Surayj narrated to us, they said Hammad — meaning Ibn Zayd — narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet ﷺ saw a yellowish trace on Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf (رضي الله عنه) and said, 'What is this?' He said, 'I have married a woman for a gold piece (the weight of a date stone in gold).' the Prophet ﷺ said, 'May Allah bless you. Give a wedding feast, even if with only a sheep.'
