حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَال
ِكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَا أَدْرِي أَشَيْءٌ أُنْزِلَ أَمْ كَانَ يَقُولُهُ لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَقَالَ حَجَّاجٌ لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَانِ مِنْ مَالٍ لَتَمَنَّى وَادِيًا ثَالِثًا وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us; and Hajjaj said: Shu'bah narrated to me, he said: I heard Qatadah narrating from Anas ibn Malik; Hajjaj said in his narration: I heard Anas ibn Malik say: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "On the Day of Resurrection, the disbeliever will be asked: 'If you had the earth full of gold, would you ransom yourself with it?' He will say: 'Yes.' It will be said: 'You were asked for something easier than that' — meaning tawhid."
