حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُغِيرُ عِنْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ فَيَسْتَمِعُ الْأَذَانَ فَإِذَا سَمِعَ الْأَذَانَ أَمْسَكَ وَإِلَّا أَغَارَ فَاسْتَمَعَ ذَاتَ ي
َوْمٍ فَسَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُولُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ فَقَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَقَالَ خَرَجْتَ مِنْ النَّارِ

English Translation
Yunus narrated to us, Hammad — meaning Ibn Salamah — narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to launch raids at the time of the Fajr prayer, and he would listen for the adhan. If he heard the adhan, he would hold back. If he did not hear the adhan, he would attack.
