حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ وَثَابِتٌ وَحُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ غَلَا السِّعْرُ بِالْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى عَهْدِ
رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ غَلَا السِّعْرُ سَعِّرْ لَنَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْمُسَعِّرُ الْقَابِضُ الْبَاسِطُ الرَّزَّاقُ إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ أَلْقَى اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ يَطْلُبُنِي بِمَظْلَمَةٍ فِي دَمٍ وَلَا مَالٍ

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Qatadah, Thabit, and Humayd informed us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: Prices rose in Madinah during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The people said: 'O Messenger of Allah, prices have risen, so set prices for us.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed Allah is the One who sets prices, the Withholder, the Provider, the Sustainer, and I hope to meet Allah while none of you has a claim against me for an injustice in blood or wealth.'
