Hadith #109

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَحْلِقَ رَأْسَهُ بِمِنًى أَخَذَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ شِقَّ رَأْسِهِ فَحَلَقَ الْحَجَّامُ فَجَاءَ بِهِ إِلَى أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ وَكَانَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ تَجْعَلُهُ فِي مِسْكِهَا وَكَانَ يَجِيءُ فَيَقِ
يلُ عِنْدَهَا عَلَى نِطْعٍ وَكَانَ مِعْرَاقًا فَجَاءَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَجَعَلَتْ تَسْلُتُ الْعَرَقَ وَتَجْعَلُهُ فِي قَارُورَةٍ لَهَا فَاسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا تَجْعَلِينَ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَتْ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ عَرَقُكَ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَدُوفَ بِهِ طِيبِي

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas (رضي الله عنه), that when the Prophet ﷺ wanted to shave his head at Mina, Abu Talhah took hold of one side of his hair, and the barber shaved it. Then he brought it to Umm Sulaym, and she used to keep it in her perfume container.
