حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ النَّبِيِّ } قَالَ قَعَدَ ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ فِي بَيْتِهِ فَفَقَدَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لِسَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ يَا أَبَا عَمْرٍو مَا شَأْنُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ لَا يُرَى أَاشْتَكَى فَقَالَ مَا عَلِمْتُ لَهُ بِمَرَضٍ وَإِنَّهُ لَجَارِي فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ سَعْد
ٌ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ قَوْلَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنِّي كُنْتُ مِنْ أَشَدِّكُمْ رَفْعَ صَوْتٍ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ وَقَدْ هَلَكْتُ أَنَا مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ سَعْدٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ بَلْ هُوَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, he said: Thabit informed us, from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said: When the verse was revealed: 'O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet ﷺ' [49:2], Thabit ibn Qays sat in his house and said: 'I am one of the people of the Fire,' and he stopped coming to the Prophet ﷺ. the Prophet ﷺ noticed his absence and sent for him. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have a loud voice and I used to raise my voice above yours, so I am among the people of the Fire.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'You are not; rather you are among the people of Paradise.'
