Hadith #111
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ نَاسًا مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ قَدِمُوا الْمَدِينَةَ فَاجْتَوَوْهَا فَبَعَثَ بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي إِبِلِ الصَّدَقَةِ وَقَالَ اشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا فَقَتَلُوا رَاعِيَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاسْتَاقُوا الْإِبِلَ وَارْتَدُّوا عَنْ ا
لْإِسْلَامِ فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ وَسَمَرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ وَأَلْقَاهُمْ بِالْحَرَّةِ قَالَ أَنَسٌ قَدْ كُنْتُ أَرَى أَحَدَهُمْ يَكْدُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِفِيهِ حَتَّى مَاتُوا وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ حَمَّادٌ يَكْدُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِفِيهِ حَتَّى مَاتُوا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ وَهَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادٍ

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, Qatadah informed us, from Anas (رضي الله عنه), that some people from the tribe of Uraynah came to Madinah and found its climate disagreeable. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent them to the camels of charity and said: 'Drink from their milk and urine.' They did so and recovered. Then they killed the camel herder and drove away the camels. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent people after them, and they were brought back. He had their hands and feet cut off, their eyes branded with hot iron, and they were left in the sun until they died.
