حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ عَفَّانُ فِي حَدِيثِهِ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَهْطًا مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ أَتَوْا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا قَدْ اجْتَوَيْنَا الْمَدِينَةَ فَعَظُمَتْ بُطُونُنَا وَانْتَهَشَتْ أَعْضَاؤُنَا فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَلْحَقُوا بِرَاعِي الْإِبِلِ فَيَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَان
ِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا قَالَ فَلَحِقُوا بِرَاعِي الْإِبِلِ فَشَرِبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا حَتَّى صَلُحَتْ بُطُونُهُمْ وَأَلْوَانُهُمْ ثُمَّ قَتَلُوا الرَّاعِي وَسَاقُوا الْإِبِلَ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَبَعَثَ فِي طَلَبِهِمْ فَجِيءَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ إِنَّمَا كَانَ هَذَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْزِلَ الْحُدُودُ
English Translation
Bahz narrated to us, and Affan narrated to us, they said: Hammam narrated to us — Affan said in his narration: Qatadah informed us, he said: Anas ibn Malik narrated to us; and Bahz said: from Anas ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) — that a group from the tribe of Uraynah came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found Madinah's climate disagreeable. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered them to go to the camels of charity and drink from their milk and urine. They did so and recovered. Then they apostatized, killed the herders, and drove away the camels. He sent people after them who brought them back. He had their hands and feet cut off and their eyes branded, and they were left until they died.
