حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ مَاتَ ابْنٌ لِأَبِي طَلْحَةَ مِنْ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ لِأَهْلِهَا لَا تُحَدِّثُوا أَبَا طَلْحَةَ بِابْنِهِ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَنَا أُحَدِّثُهُ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ بَهْزٍ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَتْ أُمِّي يَا أَنَسُ لَا يُطْعَمْ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَغْدُوَ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللّ
َهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فَبَاتَ يَبْكِي وَبِتُّ مُجْتَنِحًا عَلَيْهِ أُكَالِئُهُ حَتَّى أَصْبَحْتُ فَغَدَوْتُ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا مَعَهُ مِيسَمٌ فَلَمَّا رَأَى الصَّبِيَّ مَعِي قَالَ لَعَلَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ وَلَدَتْ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَوَضَعَ الْمِيسَمَ مِنْ يَدِهِ وَقَعَدَ

English Translation
Affan narrated to us, Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, Thabit narrated to us, from Anas (رضي الله عنه) who said: A son of Abu Talhah from Umm Sulaym died. Umm Sulaym said to her family: 'Do not tell Abu Talhah about his son until I tell him myself.' When Abu Talhah came, she served him dinner. He ate and drank. Then she adorned herself more beautifully than she had done before, and he was intimate with her. When she saw that he was satisfied, she said: 'O Abu Talhah, do you think that if some people lent something to a household and then asked for it back, should they withhold it?' He said: 'No.' She said: 'Then seek your reward for your son.' He went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him. He said: 'May Allah bless their night.' She conceived, and they had a son. the Prophet ﷺ performed the tahnik for him with a date.
