حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ح وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْ

يَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَعَامُ الْوَاحِدِ يَكْفِي الِاثْنَيْنِ وَطَعَامُ الِاثْنَيْنِ يَكْفِي الْأَرْبَعَةَ وَطَعَامُ الْأَرْبَعَةِ يَكْفِي الثَّمَانِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ مِثْلَهُ

English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us — and 'Abd al-Rahman, from Sufyan — from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما), who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The food of one person suffices for two, the food of two suffices for four, and the food of four suffices for eight.'
