English Translation

Sufyan narrated to us, he said: I heard Ibn al-Munkadir on more than one occasion say, from Jabir — and I think I heard him once say: 'One who heard Jabir informed me,' and I believe he heard it from Ibn al-Munkadir and 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil — from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما) that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever is granted his share of gentleness has been granted his share of goodness. And whoever is deprived of his share of gentleness has been deprived of his share of goodness.'
