English Translation

Isma'il narrated to us, Ayyub narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited muhaqalah [selling grain still on the stalk for harvested grain], muzabanah [selling fresh dates on the tree for dried dates by estimation], mukhabarah [sharecropping for a portion of the crop], mu'awamah [selling fruit for multiple years in advance], and thunya [making an exception in a sale without specifying it]. And he allowed the 'araya [selling small amounts of dates on the tree for dried dates by estimation, for those in need].
