English Translation

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, al-A'mash narrated to us, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir (رضي الله عنهما), who said: Sulayk al-Ghatafani came on Friday while the Prophet ﷺ was delivering the khutbah, and he sat down. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O Sulayk, stand up and pray two rak'ahs, and make them brief.' Then he said: 'When one of you comes on Friday while the imam is delivering the khutbah, let him pray two rak'ahs and make them brief.'
