حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ وَرَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَاب
ِهِ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ فِي حَائِطٍ وَهُوَ يُحَوِّلُ الْمَاءَ فَقَالَ عِنْدَكَ مَاءٌ بَاتَ اللَّيْلَةَ فِي شَنٍّ وَإِلَّا كَرَعْنَا فَقَالَ عِنْدِي مَاءٌ بَائِتٌ فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى عَرِيشٍ فَحَلَبَ لَهُ شَاةً ثُمَّ صَبَّ عَلَيْهِ مَاءً بَائِتًا ثُمَّ سَقَاهُ وَصَنَعَ بِصَاحِبِهِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ

English Translation
Musa ibn Dawud narrated to us, Fulayh narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn al-Harith, from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari (رضي الله عنهما) — that the Prophet ﷺ entered upon a man from the Ansar, along with one of his companions, in his garden. the Prophet ﷺ said to the Ansari man: 'If you have water that has been left in a water-skin overnight, then give us to drink. Otherwise, we will drink directly [from the stream].' So the man tilted a stream [of water] for him, and the Prophet ﷺ drank from it.
