English Translation
Ishaq narrated to us, Fulayh ibn Sulayman al-Madani narrated to me, from Sa'id ibn al-Harith, from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari (رضي الله عنهما) — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to visit a sick man among the Ansar. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked: 'Do you have anything to drink?' They said: 'We only have nabidh [date drink].' He said: 'Then give me that.' So they brought it to him in a vessel, and he drank from it.
