Hadith #159
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ أَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ مَنْ يَتَّبِعُنِي مِنْ أُمَّتِي
يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رُبُعَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ فَكَبَّرْنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ أَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونُوا ثُلُثَ النَّاسِ قَالَ فَكَبَّرْنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ أَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونُوا الشَّطْرَ

English Translation
Musa narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) — that he heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'I hope that those who follow me from my ummah on the Day of Resurrection will be one-quarter of the people of Paradise.' He said: We said 'Allahu Akbar!' He said: 'I hope they will be one-third of the people of Paradise.' We said 'Allahu Akbar!' He said: 'I hope they will be half of the people of Paradise.' We said 'Allahu Akbar!'
