English Translation
Yunus ibn Muhammad and Hujayn narrated to us, both said: Layth narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه), who said: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had sent me on an errand. Then I caught up with him and greeted him. He gestured to me (to wait, as he was praying). When he finished, he said: 'You greeted me just now while I was praying.' He was facing east on his mount (praying a voluntary prayer)."
