Hadith #24
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَحُجَيْنٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ عُرِضَ عَلَيَّ الْأَنْبِيَاءُ فَإِذَا مُوسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام رَجُلٌ ضَرْبٌ مِنْ الرِّجَالِ كَأَنَّهُ مِنْ رِجَالِ شَنُوءَةَ فَرَأَيْتُ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَإِذَا أَقْرَبُ مَنْ رَأَيْتُ بِهِ شَبَهًا عُرْوَةُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ وَرَأَيْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَإِذَا أَقْرَبُ مَنْ رَأَيْتُ بِهِ شَبَهًا صَاحِبُكُمْ يَعْنِي نَفْسَهُ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَأَيْتُ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَإِذَا أَقْرَبُ مَنْ رَأَيْتُ بِهِ شَبَهًا دِحْيَةُ

English Translation
Yunus and Hujayn narrated to us, both said: Layth narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه), from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said: "the Prophet ﷺs were presented before me. Musa (عليه السلام) was a lean, tall man, as if he were from the men of Shanu'ah. And 'Isa ibn Maryam (عليه السلام) — the closest in resemblance to him that I found was 'Urwah ibn Mas'ud. And Ibrahim (عليه السلام) — the closest in resemblance to him that I found is your companion (meaning himself ﷺ). And Jibril (عليه السلام) — the closest in resemblance to him that I found is Dihyah."
