‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏مُجَالِدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏الشَّعْبِيُّ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏سَنَّ ‏ ‏الْجَزُورَ ‏ ‏وَالْبَقَرَةَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ ‏

English Translation

Yunus ibn Muhammad narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahid narrated to us, Mujalid ibn Sa'id narrated to us, al-Sha'bi narrated to me, Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) narrated to me: "the Messenger of Allah ﷺ established the practice (sunnah) that a camel and a cow count as a sacrifice on behalf of seven people."
