English Translation

Hasan narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr narrated to us, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه), that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "A woman was punished because of a cat — she tied it up until it died. She did not release it so it could eat from the vermin of the earth, nor did she feed it or give it water."
