Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ وَإِنِّي أَشْتَرِطُ عَلَى رَبِّي أَيَّ عَبْدٍ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ شَتَمْتُهُ أَوْ سَبَبْتُهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ زَكَاةً وَأَجْرًا
English Translation
Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir (رضي الله عنه) saying: 'I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: "I am only a human being, and I have made a condition with my Lord: any Muslim servant whom I have cursed or insulted, make that for him a purification, a mercy, and a means of drawing near (to Allah)."'
