English Translation
Rawh narrated to us, from Ibn Jurayj, Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'The throne of Iblis is upon the sea. Then he sends his troops to tempt the people. The greatest of them in his estimation is the one who causes the most fitnah. One of them comes and says: "I did such and such." Iblis says: "You have done nothing." Then one of them comes and says: "I did not leave him until I separated him from his wife." Iblis draws him near and says: "How excellent you are!"'
