حَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ
سَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ فَيَنْزِلُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَقُولُ أَمِيرُهُمْ تَعَالَ صَلِّ بِنَا فَيَقُولُ لَا إِنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ أُمَرَاءُ تَكْرِمَةَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ

English Translation
Hajjaj narrated to me, Ibn Jurayj said, Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'A group from my Ummah will never cease fighting upon the truth, prevailing until the Day of Resurrection. Then 'Isa ibn Maryam (عليه السلام) will descend, and their leader will say: "Come and lead us in prayer." He will say: "No, some of you are leaders over others, as an honor from Allah to this Ummah."'
