Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, al-Fudayl — meaning Ibn Sulayman — narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abi Yahya narrated to us, from al-Harith ibn Abi Yazid, from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari (رضي الله عنهما) that some people arrived in Madinah with the Prophet ﷺ who had no homes and no property. So the Prophet ﷺ established brotherhood between the Muhajirun and the Ansar, and said: 'Share your date-palms with your brothers from the Muhajirun.' Each of them would share his date-palms with a Muhajir. They would take half of the fruit and give them the other half, to the point that they even shared the dried fallen dates with them.
