English Translation
Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Mutarrif informed us, from 'Asim ibn 'Ubaydillah ibn 'Asim ibn 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, who said: I visited Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما), and the time for prayer came. His garments were on the bed — or the clothes rack. He stood to pray in a single garment which he wrapped around himself, crossing its ends over his chest. He prayed while his other garments were within arm's reach on the bed — or the rack.
