حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَم

َّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ صُفُوفِ الرِّجَالِ الْمُقَدَّمُ وَشَرُّهَا الْمُؤَخَّرُ وَخَيْرُ صُفُوفِ النِّسَاءِ الْمُؤَخَّرُ وَشَرُّهَا الْمُقَدَّمُ يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ إِذَا سَجَدَ الرِّجَالُ فَاغْضُضْنَ أَبْصَارَكُنَّ لَا تَرَيْنَ عَوْرَاتِ الرِّجَالِ مِنْ ضِيقِ الْأُزُرِ

English Translation

Abu Sa'id narrated to us, Za'idah narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn 'Aqil narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best of men's rows is the first, and the worst is the last. The best of women's rows is the last, and the worst is the first.'
