حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُهِلِّينَ بِالْحَجِّ فَقَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ فَطُفْنَا بِالْبَيْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحِلُّوا وَاجْعَلُوهَا عُمْرَةً إِلَّا مَنْ
سَاقَ الْهَدْيَ قَالَ فَسَطَعَتْ الْمَجَامِرُ وَوَقَعَتْ النِّسَاءُ فَلَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ أَهْلَلْنَا بِالْحَجِّ قَالَ سُرَاقَةُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عُمْرَتُنَا هَذِهِ أَلِعَامِنَا أَمْ لِلْأَبَدِ قَالَ لَا بَلْ لِلْأَبَدِ

English Translation
Mu'ammal narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) who said: We set out with the Prophet ﷺ entering ihram for Hajj. When we arrived in Makkah, we performed tawaf around the House and between al-Safa and al-Marwah. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever does not have a sacrificial animal with him, let him exit ihram.' We said: 'What kind of exiting?' He said: 'Complete exiting.' So we went to our wives and wore our regular clothes. the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Whoever has a sacrificial animal with him should not exit ihram.' We saw the Prophet ﷺ — his sacrificial animals were garlanded, and he did not exit ihram.
