English Translation
Mu'ammal narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, 'Ali — meaning Ibn Zayd — narrated to us, from Abu Nadrah, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Ibn Sa'id: 'What do you see?' He said: 'I see a throne upon the water — or he said: upon the sea.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'You see the throne of Iblis.' Then he said to him: 'What else do you see?' He said: 'I see truthful ones and a liar — or: a liar and truthful ones.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The matter has been confused for him. Leave him.'
