قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ جَ

عْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ خَرَجَ مِنْ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصَّفَا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ نَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِهِ

English Translation

He (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that i read to 'Abd al-Rahman: Malik — and Ishaq narrated to us, Malik informed us — from Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from his father, that Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say when he departed from 'Arafah: 'O people, be tranquil, for righteousness is not in rushing.' This was during the Farewell Hajj.
