حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ تَذَ

اكَرْنَا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْمُتْعَةَ مُتْعَةَ النِّسَاءِ فَقَالَ رَبِيعُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ يَنْهَى عَنْ نِكَاحِ الْمُتْعَةِ

English Translation

'Abd al-Samad narrated to us, my father narrated to us, Isma'il ibn Umayyah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri who said: We were discussing mut'ah, the mut'ah of women, in the presence of 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz. Al-Rabi' ibn Sabrah said: 'I heard my father say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited it on the day of the Conquest.'
