Hadith #183
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ وَإِذَا أَمْسَى أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَعَلَى كَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ وَعَلَى دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
English Translation
Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Salamah, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from his father, that the Prophet ﷺ used to say when he reached the morning and when he reached the evening: 'We have entered the morning upon the fitrah of Islam, and upon the word of sincerity, and upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and upon the millah of our father Ibrahim, upright, a Muslim, and he was not of the polytheists.'
