Hadith #184

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَكَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ وَدِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ
English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, from Shu'bah, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Dharr, from Sa'id ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say: 'We have entered the morning upon the fitrah of Islam, and upon the word of sincerity, and upon the religion of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and upon the millah of our father Ibrahim, upright, a Muslim, and he was not of the polytheists.'
