حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى فِي الْفَجْ
رِ فَتَرَكَ آيَةً فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَالَ أَفِي الْقَوْمِ أُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ قَالَ أُبَيٌّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ نُسِخَتْ آيَةُ كَذَا وَكَذَا أَوْ نُسِّيتَهَا قَالَ نُسِّيتُهَا

English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Sufyan, Salamah ibn Kuhayl narrated to us, from Dharr, from Sa'id ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from his father, that the Prophet ﷺ prayed the Fajr and omitted a verse. When he finished the prayer, he said: 'Is Ubayy ibn Ka'b present?' Ubayy said: 'O Messenger of Allah, such-and-such verse was either abrogated or you forgot it.' He ﷺ said: 'I forgot it.'
