حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَبِيعَ دُورَنَا وَنَتَحَوَّلَ قَرِيبًا مِنْ رَسُولِ ال
لَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَجْلِ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا فُلَانُ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ دِيَارَكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا تُكْتَبُ آثَارُكُمْ

English Translation
Hashim narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from al-Jurayri, from Abu Nadrah, who said: Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) said: We wanted to sell our houses and move closer to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on account of the prayer. He said: the Prophet ﷺ forbade us and said: 'Your steps (to the mosque) are being recorded for you.'
