Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي خِزَامَةَ أَحَدِ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ
وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ دَوَاءً نَتَدَاوَى بِهِ وَرُقًى نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا وَتُقًى نَتَّقِيهَا هَلْ تَرُدُّ ذَلِكَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَلِكَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى

English Translation
'Ali ibn 'Ayyash narrated to us, Baqiyyah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, from al-Zubaydi Muhammad ibn al-Walid, from al-Zuhri, from Ibn Abi Khizamah, one of Banu al-Harith, from his father, that he came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, do you see the medicines we use for treatment and the ruqyah we seek — do they change anything of Allah's decree?' He ﷺ said: 'They are [part] of Allah's decree.'
