حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّه

ُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا الْمُوجِبَتَانِ قَالَ مَنْ مَاتَ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ شَيْئًا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ وَمَنْ مَاتَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ دَخَلَ النَّارَ

English Translation

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) who said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what are the two decisive matters?' He ﷺ said: 'Whoever dies not associating anything with Allah (عز وجل) enters Paradise, and whoever dies associating something with Allah enters the Fire.'
