حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ زَبَّان
َ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَأَ أَلْفَ آيَةٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى كُتِبَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَعَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاءِ وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَئِكَ رَفِيقًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى

English Translation
Ḥasan narrated to us: Ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us. He said: Yaḥyā ibn Ghaylān narrated to us, saying: Rishdīn ibn Saʿd narrated to me, from Zabbān, from Sahl ibn Muʿādh, from his father [Muʿādh ibn Anas al-Juhanī] (رضي الله عنه), from the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ who said: 'Whoever recites the Quran and acts according to what is in it, his parents will be crowned on the Day of Resurrection with a crown whose light is better than the light of the sun in the houses of this world, were it among you. So what do you think of the one who acts upon it himself?'
