حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ هُوَ أَبُو بِشْرٍ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يُوشِكُ
أَنْ تَخْرُجَ نَارٌ مِنْ حُبْسِ سَيَلٍ تَسِيرُ سَيْرَ بَطِيئَةِ الْإِبِلِ تَسِيرُ النَّهَارَ وَتُقِيمُ اللَّيْلَ تَغْدُو وَتَرُوحُ يُقَالُ غَدَتْ النَّارُ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَاغْدُوا قَالَتْ النَّارُ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَأَقِيلُوا رَاحَتْ النَّارُ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَرُوحُوا مَنْ أَدْرَكَتْهُ أَكَلَتْهُ

English Translation
ʿUthmān ibn ʿUmar narrated to us, saying: ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī Abū Jaʿfar narrated to us, from Rāfiʿ ibn Bishr — he is Abū Bishr al-Sulamī — from his father [Bishr al-Sulamī] (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'I saw in a dream as if I came upon a very steep cliff and the people were being driven toward it. And there was a man standing at its brink catching people one after another.' He described them being pulled from the Fire. And he ﷺ said: 'This dream is of the truthful ones.'
