Hadith #474
Arabic Text
ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ الْفُسَّاقَ هُمْ أَهْلُ النَّارِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ الْفُسَّاقُ قَالَ النِّسَاءُ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلَسْنَ أُمَّهَاتِنَا وَبَنَاتِنَا وَأَخَوَاتِنَا قَالَ بَلَى وَلَكِنَّهُنَّ إِذَا أُعْطِينَ لَمْ يَشْكُرْنَ وَإِذَا ابْتُلِينَ لَمْ يَصْبِرْنَ
English Translation
Then he ﷺ said: 'The corrupt ones (fussāq) are the people of the Fire.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, and who are the corrupt ones?' He said: 'Women.' They said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, are they not our mothers, daughters, and sisters?' He ﷺ said: 'Indeed, but when they are given they do not show gratitude, and when they are tested they do not have patience.'
