Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم

َ قَالَ تَابِعُوا بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ فَإِنَّ مُتَابَعَةً بَيْنَهُمَا يَنْفِيَانِ الذُّنُوبَ وَالْفَقْرَ كَمَا يَنْفِي الْكِيرُ الْخَبَثَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ لَيْسَ فِيهِ أَبُوهُ

English Translation

Sufyān narrated to us, from ʿĀṣim, from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿĀmir ibn Rabīʿah, narrating from ʿUmar (رضي الله عنه), tracing it back — and he said on one occasion: from the Prophet ﷺ — who said: 'Alternate between Ḥajj and ʿUmrah, for they remove poverty and sins just as the bellows removes impurities from iron.'
