حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُوَيْسٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُرَحْبِيلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ مَوْلَى بَنِي خَطْمَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَأَنْ يَكُفَّ أَحَدُكُمْ يَدَهُ عَنْ الْحَصَى خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ مِائَةِ نَاقَةٍ
كُلُّهَا سُودُ الْحَدَقَةِ فَإِنْ غَلَبَ أَحَدَكُمْ الشَّيْطَانُ فَلْيَمْسَحْ مَسْحَةً وَاحِدَةً حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَأَنْ يُمْسِكَ أَحَدُكُمْ يَدَهُ عَنْ الْحَصَى فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

English Translation
Husayn narrated to us, Abu Uways narrated to us, Shurahbil ibn Sa'd al-Ansari, the freed slave of Banu Khatmah, narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما), from the Prophet ﷺ who said: 'It is better for one of you to restrain his hand from the pebbles (during prayer) than to have one hundred she-camels — meaning, it is better than possessing that.' He said this regarding the prohibition of playing with pebbles during prayer.
