‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏حُسَيْنٌ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَعْتَقَ عَبْدًا لَهُ لَيْسَ لَهُ غَيْرُهُ فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏فَابْتَاعَهُ مِنْهُ ‏ ‏نُعَيْمُ بْنُ النَّحَّامِ ‏

English Translation

Husayn narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b informed us, from Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) that a man freed a slave of his while he had no other property. the Prophet ﷺ revoked his emancipation, and Nu'aym ibn 'Abdullah bought the slave from him.
