حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أ
َتَى مَسْجِدَ يَعْنِي الْأَحْزَابَ فَوَضَعَ رِدَاءَهُ وَقَامَ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ مَدًّا يَدْعُو عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ قَالَ ثُمَّ جَاءَ وَدَعَا عَلَيْهِمْ وَصَلَّى

English Translation
Husayn narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from a man from Banu Salimah, from Jabir ibn Abdullah (رضي الله عنهما) that the Prophet ﷺ came to the Mosque of al-Ahzab (the Confederates), laid down his cloak, stood up and raised his hands stretched out, supplicating against them. He did not offer any prayer. Then he came a second time, stood and supplicated against them, raising his hands stretched out. Then he came a third time and prayed. He said: 'I supplicated against them, and I was answered on the third time.' When the Prophet ﷺ was answered with glad tidings, he prayed out of gratitude to Allah (عز وجل).
