حَدَّثَنَا يَعْمَرُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سِنَانَ بْنَ أَبِي سِنَانٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَائِمًا فِي قَصَصِهِ إِنَّ أَخًا لَكُمْ كَانَ لَا يَقُولُ الرَّفَثَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رَوَاحَةَ قَالَ وَفِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَتْلُو كِتَابَهُ إِ
ذَا انْشَقَّ مَعْرُوفٌ مِنْ اللَّيْلِ سَاطِعُ يَبِيتُ يُجَافِي جَنْبَهُ عَنْ فِرَاشِهِ إِذَا اسْتَثْقَلَتْ بِالْكَافِرِينَ الْمَضَاجِعُ أَرَانَا الْهُدَى بَعْدَ الْعَمَى فَقُلُوبُنَا بِهِ مُوقِنَاتٌ أَنَّ مَا قَالَ وَاقِعُ

English Translation
Yaʿmar ibn Bishr narrated to us: ʿAbdullāh narrated to us, saying: Yūnus informed us, from al-Zuhrī, saying: I heard Sinān ibn Abī Sinān say: I heard Abū Hurayrah (رضي الله عنه) say while standing in his storytelling: 'A brother of yours [meaning ʿAbdullāh ibn Rawāḥah] used to not say obscene things — and he would say: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ has come among us, reciting the Book of Allāh, with light that shines after the dawn. He showed us guidance after our blindness, and our hearts are certain that what he said will come true.'
