English Translation
Abū al-Yamān narrated to us, he said: Shuʿayb informed us, from al-Zuhrī, who said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Kaʿb ibn Mālik informed us that Kaʿb ibn Mālik al-Anṣārī — and he was one of the three whose repentance was accepted — used to narrate that the Prophet ﷺ never returned from a journey except arriving during the daytime in the forenoon. When he arrived, he would begin with the mosque, pray two rakʿahs in it, and then sit in it.
