English Translation

Musa ibn Dawud narrated to us, Ibn Lahi'ah narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir (رضي الله عنه) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The parable of the believer is like the stalk of grain: sometimes it stands straight and sometimes it tilts and then straightens up. And the parable of the disbeliever is like the cedar tree: it stands firm and does not sway until it is uprooted all at once.'
