English Translation
ʿAbdullāh narrated to us: Muṣʿab ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Zubayrī narrated to us: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī ʿUbayd narrated to me, from Ibn Abī Dhiʾb, from Saʿīd ibn Khālid al-Qāriẓī, from Rabīʿah ibn ʿAbbād al-Dīlī, who said: I saw Abū Lahab at ʿUkāẓ, following the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, saying: 'O people, this one has gone astray, so do not let him lead you astray from the gods of your fathers!' The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was fleeing from him, and he was on his trail. We were following them as boys. I can still see him — a cross-eyed man with two braids, the whitest and most handsome of people.
