English Translation
Saʿīd ibn Manṣūr narrated to us: al-Mughīrah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to us, from Abū al-Zinād: Muḥammad ibn Ḥamzah al-Aslamī narrated to me, from his father, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ appointed him over a military expedition. He said: I went out with it and he said: 'If you capture so-and-so, burn him with fire.' When I turned to leave, he called out to me and said: 'If you capture him, kill him, for none punishes with fire except the Lord of fire.'
