قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ
بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ قَالَتْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْمِي جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُكُمْ وَلَا يُصِيبُ بَعْضُكُمْ وَإِذَا رَمَيْتُمْ الْجَمْرَةَ فَارْمُوهَا بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ فَرَمَى بِسَبْعٍ وَلَمْ يَقِفْ وَخَلْفَهُ رَجُلٌ يَسْتُرُهُ قُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا قَالُوا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ

English Translation
Ibn Fuḍayl narrated to us, from Yazīd, from Sulaymān ibn ʿAmr ibn al-Aḥwaṣ, from his mother, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ throwing pebbles at Jamrat al-ʿAqabah from the bottom of the valley on the Day of Sacrifice, and he was saying: 'O people, do not kill one another and do not harm one another! When you throw at the Jamrah, throw with pebbles the size of a chickpea.' He threw seven pebbles without stopping, and behind him was a man shielding him. I said: 'Who is this?' They said: 'Al-Faḍl ibn al-ʿAbbās.'
