English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Furāt, from Abū al-Ṭufayl, from Abū Sarīḥah who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ was in an upper room while we were below, talking. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ looked down upon us and said: 'What are you discussing?' They said: 'The Hour.' He said: 'The Hour will not come until you see ten signs: an earthquake in the east, an earthquake in the west, an earthquake in the Arabian Peninsula, the Smoke, the Dajjāl, the Beast, the rising of the sun from its west, Yaʾjūj and Maʾjūj, and a fire that emerges from the depths of ʿAdan, driving people.' Shuʿbah said: I heard it, and I think he said: 'It camps with them wherever they camp and rests at midday with them wherever they rest.' Shuʿbah said: A man narrated this hadith to me from Abū al-Ṭufayl, from Abū Sarīḥah, without raising it to the Prophet ﷺ. One of these two men said: 'the descent of ʿĪsā ibn Maryam,' and the other said: 'a wind that casts them into the sea.'
